Backupify to Prevent a Social Media Disaster
Well, here is the final part of my 4 part series on Twitter Tools. We end on a high note; how to back up your information. I apologize for the delay and hope that you find Bakupify useful for backing up your accounts.
Here are the Previous Posts:
Backupify Your Tweets
Twitter has a nasty habit of dropping Tweets. Due to the limitations any application you use will only give you data for the past few days. This incredibly inefficient for any long-term review. Backupify resolves this issue by allowing you to store all your messages.
What Backupify Does
For free you can add up to 3 Social Media Accounts that can be archived weekly and sent to you by email.
Accounts that can be stored include:
- Flickr
- Picasa
- Blogger
Once you have downloaded your backup you can restore them with a single click! If something disastrous should happen to your online accounts, such as a hack, you can easily restore your accounts to their previous state.
My favorite feature is the ability to download the data offline.
Use TweetBackup to Archive all Your Tweets
TweetBackup owned by Backupify and only has the one purpose: to archive your tweets. Don’t ask me why they have the two services with the same purpose. There is an advantage to using TweetBackup and that is how much data it can store.
It is a great alternative to the full service Bakupify will sell you. You can get your last 3,200 Tweets free. All new tweets back up daily. Of course you can also download them to your desktop.
Do you ever get upset when you can’t find a Tweet?
This ends my four-part series on Twitter Apps. Each area I have discussed for the past month is an important part of maintaining your account. I have chosen Timely, Tweet Alarm, TweetReach and Backupify because they work well together. I hope you will return to these posts as you learn more about Twitter. Let me know if you have any questions.
